About CSA
Computer Science Association is Houston City College's student-run CS club. We exist because learning to build things is easier, and a lot more fun, when you're not doing it alone.
Officers are students who plan the workshops, run the hackathon, and keep the Discord alive. What started as a handful of people has grown into one of the most active student communities on campus: 700+ members and more than a hundred workshops taught.
You don't need to be a CS major, and you don't need experience. Plenty of members wrote their first line of code at one of our workshops.

Workshops
Hands-on sessions taught by students, for students: Git, Python, web dev, interview prep. 100+ and counting. You leave having built something.
HackHCC
Our flagship hackathon: 24 hours, beginner-friendly tracks, teams formed on the spot. If you've never hacked before, this is where you start.
Coding Club
Our weekly event to hang out and learn new things: 2 Hours on Fridays, beginner-friendly.
Community
700+ members who answer questions at midnight, share internship leads, and sit next to you in the hard classes. The club is the people.
